What a whirl wind trip we’ve had the past few weeks! I have so much catching up to do. In the meantime though I wanted to do a quick post on our time in Thirsk, England. We arrived to a welcoming that honestly felt like coming home to family. We have immensely enjoyed being in such a loving home. The kids, the stories and the food.
We started the trip in Luton renting a car and driving on the wrong side of the road. Then we traveled up to Thirsk and were welcomed by Lesley. We collected the men from the pub, and witnessed the fish and chip lines. To date we have played a dozen football games and visited the parks. It all started with a 5th grade pen pal letter and now over 10 years later we are so fortunate to spend time with our
friends family in England.
You know those dreams you have and you think- “No, we couldn’t… Not now… Maybe later.” This year Justin and I moved 5 times. (I know- it was kind of crazy!) We learned so much about each other, our dreams and what ‘home’ means to us. Those dreams and ideas that seemed so big and scary at one time, really don’t any more. We just were talking one night and asked ourselves – why not now?
So for the next two months we will be adventuring around Italy, Spain, Switzerland, France and the UK. Thank you to all the family members and friends who encouraged us! We could not ask for a better support team!
